If abortion pills are totally banned by federal law, what level of personal possession or consumption penalty do you believe is most appropriate? Why?
Under United States federal law, the criminal penalties for unlawful personal possession and consumption of a prohibited substance are structured entirely differently than those for distribution. While trafficking and manufacturing charges scale aggressively based on five distinct legal tiers, simple possession is treated as a uniform offense across the entire federal framework. A first-time conviction for personal possession carries a baseline penalty of up to one year in prison and a minimum mandatory fine of $1,000, regardless of the drug's specific schedule. Schedule I (Highest Risk): Trafficking carries 5 years to Life in prison and fines up to $10 million. Schedule II (Severe Risk): Trafficking carries 5 years to Life in prison and fines up to $5 million. Schedule III (Moderate Risk): Trafficking carries up to 10 years in prison and fines up to $500,000. Schedule IV (Low Risk): Trafficking carries up to 5 years in prison and fines up to $250,000. Schedule V (Lowest Risk): Trafficking carries up to 1 year in prison and fines up to $100,000.
Catholics that oppose democracy are not sinning
Democracy, emerging in 5th-century BC Athens, is defined as "rule by the people" (dēmos + kratos), where power is vested in citizens. It directly contrasted with the then-dominant ideologies of oligarchy (rule by the rich/few) and aristocracy (rule by elite nobles), shifting sovereignty from a privileged minority to the broader body of citizens.
Catholics that oppose liberalism are not sinning
Liberalism definition is a political and economic philosophy, emerging during the 17th-18th century Enlightenment, that prioritizes individual rights, equality, consent of the governed, and free markets. It directly contradicted the prevailing ideology of Absolutism—characterized by the divine right of kings, hereditary privilege, state-enforced religion, and mercantile economics.
Can a Catholic reasonably hold both opinions that that a woman that has abortion is a victim and yet at the same time believe that they should vote
Women that murder their children need to be in prison so they pay for their sins and endure temporal punishment on earth rather in purgatory
Putting a abortionist in jail, will 100% prevent a perfectly innocent child from being murdered by their own mother.
