To anyone travelling to Spain
Hi! I'm Maria, a cradle catholic from Madrid (Spain). If you come to Spain this summer I'd be glad to help or give any advice you need. Also, if anyone comes to the Madrid area I'd love to show my fellow catholics around or help in any way I can. PS: Pope Leo is coming to Madrid in june, cant wait!!!!!
Curious who’s here.
I'm curious who is gathered here in this little corner of the Church. Were you born Catholic and never left the Barque of Peter?Did you wander, bleed, wrestle, and come home?Did you come from another Christian tradition and enter into full communion with Rome?Or did grace ambush you from completely outside the walls? Vote below, and tell us the short version of your story in the comments. Because every Catholic has a road. Some were carried to the font as infants. Some crawled back through the wreckage. Some crossed the Tiber with Scripture in one hand and surrender in the other. Some were found when they weren't even looking. How did Christ bring you to His Church?
My story back to Jesus Christ
Early in 2018, I was diagnosed with (ESRD) End-Stage Renal disease, and I had to start dialysis immediately. I prayed to God for the first time in years and begged Him that, if He saved my life, I would dedicate my life to Him. Within seven months of that diagnosis, my cousin from Florida flew all the way to UCLA to donate her kidney and save my life. Since then, I have been a committed Catholic. I have also joined the Knights of Columbus here in Southern California, attend church almost daily, and serve my community in every way I can.

Infidelity from Catholics
This is something I’ve been repeatedly shocked by, hearing stories of both men and women who were seemingly good Catholics, but turned out to be cheating on their spouses, or the person they were dating. We’ve all heard the big scandals, but it seems to happen so often even in our circles. I am curious, am I the only one who’s had this impression or heard these stories? It is kind of scary to think. I mean can people sometimes just be not who they say there are?
Anyone else remember Jeremy Fragrance
He was this influencer who had the catchphrase “No. 1 Fragrance Icon that follows the teachings of Jesus” and I thought it was really funny and wholesome until he started just constantly dancing with nothing on but his underwear in a very obscene manner. But yet I think his faith is genuine but he might be mentally ill! @legion what should we feel about celebrities who promote the faith but are obviously not good examples of it themselves, and might be mentally ill, does that excuse them?
Why don’t we drink the body of Christ as catholics when said to do so?
In John 6:53–55 it says “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.” So my question is, we eat his flesh because he told us to, but why don’t we drink his blood because he told us to?
The Sick Need Doctors
Just a thought crossing the mind. I encountered a video requesting aid for persecuted Christians in Africa. Obviously, the situation there is dire and requires our hearts, prayers, and help. My question is: to what point do we allow martyrdom as the result of sacrifice for helping those that do not know Christ Jesus? I have a finite amount of funds… are they better spent making sure my Christian brothers and sisters survive, or are they better spent making sure non-believers come to faith in Jesus?
