I’m Joshua Thelen, an independent artist, producer, and founder of Thelen Media. Through my project, Formed By Hope, I create content inspired by real experiences, faith, perseverance, and the belief that hope can shape our future. My goal is to tell stories that connect with people, inspire growth, and remind listeners that even in difficult seasons, hope remains.

For the next 30 days, I want to invite you into something simple but powerful. (This is all going to be in the book coming out in July) The Formed By Hope Challenge isn’t about being perfect. It’s about taking small, intentional steps every day to grow in faith, strengthen relationships, serve others, and become the person God created you to be. Each day will include a challenge designed to encourage action, reflection, and hope. Some days may push you outside your comfort zone. Other days may ask you to slow down and reconnect with God, family, friends, or your community. Our world often tells us to focus on ourselves. This challenge is an opportunity to do the opposite; to live with purpose, love people well, and bring hope wherever you go. Whether you’re joining from day one or jumping in later, you’re welcome here. For the next 30 days, commit to showing up, giving your best effort, and choosing hope. Let’s see what God can do through 30 days of intentional living.

Every Friday evening, I take a few minutes to scroll through my contacts and call someone I haven’t spoken to in a while just to check in on them. I started this challenge because too many people feel alone. We often assume someone else is reaching out, that someone else is checking on them, or that they’re already talking to friends and family. The reality is that many people are waiting for a text, a call, or a simple reminder that someone cares. The Friday Connection Challenge is about changing that. One phone call can encourage someone, brighten their day, strengthen a friendship, or even help someone who is struggling in silence. Through Formed By Hope, I invite others to join this challenge. Every Friday, choose one person from your contacts and reach out. Ask how they’re doing. Listen. Be present. Together, we can build a culture where no one has to feel forgotten, because hope often begins with a simple conversation. ❤️
