I must be honest. I missed out two days. Things got busy, but see that’s the thing about this app. It keeps you accountable. It isn’t so much about the fact you missed a day, but when you take accountability for the missed days, it prevents the one missed day from turning into 5 missed days, and then into losing the habit completely. I encourage you to try out the STRIVE feature, I use it everyday and it helps keep me accountable, and it also helps keep the app running!

For me personally, these 5 days have been full of of reaching out to people I disagree with and forming connections over our commonalities instead of seeking division. It’s given me a lot to think about, who knew that people that I judge through a screen could out to be really great people! It sounds silly but we all need a reminder sometimes. If you have any feedback on this sidequest and how the app has worked, please do let me know if there’s anything that could be improved!

1) reached out to 2 girl friends that really pulled through when I gave birth and hadn’t seen in awhile. They instantly said they loved me back and planned for all of us to get together. 2) My only sibling, she moved out of state so I sent her an out of the blue text saying I love her and miss her. She really liked it, hope she comes back home one day. 3) My mother, the one who’s not perfect (like all of us) but loves me and my daughter fiercely. Told her I love her and thanked her for all she’s done for me. She was very touched. Overall, this has brought nothing but goodness to those I love.

Sent a good friend a message for his birthday. I actually met this friend through CatholicNetworker, the previous version of this app, and I ended up meeting him in 3 different countries!

I decided to do something a little differently today. So there’s an influencer that I’m not the biggest fan of. I disagree with her approach with a lot of things. I’ve been thinking of making a video to “call her out” publicly, but something stirred in me that prompted me to instead leave a comment in goodwill on her post to share how I felt she could adjust her approach and commend her on her good intentions. It’s not necessarily a “kind message” in the traditional sense, but it felt like the right thing to do today.
