About
This can be for national or international travel, but sometimes travel can be confusing. There are so many things we may miss too. Did you know that there’s a St. Michael’s Sword pilgrimage in both Europe AND Canada? Are you aware that Our Lady of the Pillar in Spain was the first Marian apparition ever, and St. James saw her? Let’s help each other out!

I’m a musical theatre nerd who used to do sales. I want to do theatre/film that aligns with my values & beliefs. Growing up, I’ve performed in many Passion Plays & attended Catholic school, but I didn’t really know much about Catholicism. I’ve been on a journey now to go even deeper into my faith as well as our Jewish roots! I’m a multi-passionate person who is the social media “evangelist” (FB/IG/YT) for a Catholic church. I cannot suggest it enough! Go to St Augustine, Fl! Quite a bit of unique history there, with the Castillo De San Marcos, and the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Augustine which has unique red ceilings. What a fun town. When visiting for a day or more, the trolly pass is worth it due to being able to hop on or off at various points through so that you don’t have to walk nearly as much. In the pirate museum they even have from the (1600s?) a pirate rosary. Yes, a pirate rosary. Very interesting. In the same building as a surviving original copy of a Jolly Roger flag. Allegedly, only three Jolly Roger flags survive to this day. And that one is in the pirate museum. The fort (Castillo de San Marcos) has a chapel built into it which is where mass has been held in the past centuries, and the fort has never fallen in battle. Rest assured, you could be the celebrant for that little mass within those walls and the fort would protect you.
LOVE THIS LEGION.
Thought it might be a good idea to share our top travel spots! Having lived in Cape Town, South Africa, and Paris, France, those two places are dear to my heart. But aside from that, there are several places that I truly love. **1. Assisi, Italy** I’d say this is one of the most peaceful places on earth. St. Carlo’s Body is there too! **2. Krakow, Poland** Imagine landing in an airport called POPE JOHN PAUL II AIRPORT, and have his face plastered all over the entire city! Super Catholic. **3. Yerevan, Armenia** A trip to Georgia gone wrong, my buddy and I ended up in Armenia, where we visited the oldest purpose built cathedral in the world, and Mount Ararat, the alleged resting place of Noah’s Ark. beautiful city with a uniformed pink sandstone motif. **4. Amalty, Kazakhstan** Just an overall fascinating experience in a relatively unknown part of the world. Beautiful orthodox churches, and very traditional Catholic practices like standardised communion on the tongue. Beautiful nature! Special mention: **Bali, Indonesia** A place full of degeneracy and sin that I have little intention of returning to, but it was memorable because there was a Balinese style Catholic Church where all the angels and saints were designed in the local style, and the entire place almost looked like a pagan temple, but it was SO CATHOLIC. Loved that aspect of inculturation. Share your top travel spots!
What advice do you have for Italy/Vatican? 🇮🇹🇻🇦
I’m going for my honeymoon and doing the Sposi Novelli. Have you done it? I’d love any insight for that or just general travel over there!
Are there any hidden gems you’ve encountered in your travels?
One time in Spain, I found a church that traditionally had one of the jars from the Wedding at Cana. It was so cool!! We didn’t expect that. I have many things to share for Spain and Canada! I’ve visited some unique Portugal sites too. For France, I only experienced a few mainstream places. I’d love to visit Our Lady of La Salette and Mary Magdalene though! How about you though? What have you discovered?
Where’s your favorite place to travel and why?
